Sleep Center Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
Role: Conducts and interprets polysomnographic studies to diagnose sleep disorders, operating specialized equipment and providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities: Perform sleep studies (overnight, home testing), set up and calibrate equipment, prepare and monitor patients, collect and analyze sleep data, document results, and collaborate with healthcare professionals. Ensure compliance with AASM guidelines and assist in quality improvement initiatives. Provide patient education and support troubleshooting equipment issues.
Qualifications & Skills: High School diploma or GED, certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technician (RPSGT) or equivalent, and current CPR/BLS certification. Preferred: associate degree in Polysomnography. Must have strong technical, communication, and analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Key Duties: Conduct sleep studies, operate and maintain equipment, monitor patients, analyze data, document findings, and support team collaboration. Flexibility within professional scope is expected.
