Phlebotomist

Role Overview: Responsible for performing high-quality blood draws and specimen collection in accordance with established procedures. Tasks include preparing and processing specimens, labeling, maintaining organized work areas, and ensuring accurate patient identification. Supports specimen shipment, maintains lab supplies and equipment, and adheres to safety and confidentiality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection per policies
• Process specimens through centrifuging, labeling, and organization
• Assist with specimen shipment and return
• Maintain lab supplies and equipment
• Ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling
• Follow HIPAA, safety, and quality policies
• Perform additional tasks as assigned
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficiency in data entry and keyboard use
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in phlebotomy (preferred)
• Medical training or certification (preferred)
• Current CPR/BLS certification and national phlebotomy certification (preferred)
  
  

Additional Information: Must work flexible hours, follow regulations, and perform tasks under supervision. Compensation ranges from $20-$21/hr, with full benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
