- Performing and interpreting complex laboratory tests after specialized training.
- Acting as a resource for test interpretation and reviewing procedures for compliance.
- Prioritizing STAT and routine samples, ensuring specimen accuracy and proper storage.
- Initiating corrective actions for specimen or testing issues and alerting relevant personnel.
- Maintaining equipment, performing QC, troubleshooting technical issues, and documenting test results accurately.
- Transcribing results into LIS, notifying of critical values, and ensuring result accuracy.
- Participating in quality assurance, continuing education, and training activities.
- Supporting safety, infection control, confidentiality, and adherence to departmental policies.
- Collaborating with team members, assisting in cross-training, and participating in committees.
- Bachelor’s degree in applied science, Medical Technology, or Clinical Laboratory Science with clinical internship.
- Certification from ASCP, NCA, or equivalent preferred.
- Entry-level position with knowledge of high complexity testing, regulatory standards, and manual/visual dexterity.
Salary : $22 - $31
