Responsibilities: Conducts blood cross-matching and preparation of blood products, performs microscopy tests (gram stains, fern testing, wet mounts, cell counts), evaluates quality control, calibrates instruments, and communicates critical results to nursing staff. Advises physicians and staff on test procedures and results, maintaining smooth laboratory function.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree if Bachelor's is not obtained. Holds a valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license; ASCP certification preferred. Foreign degrees must be verified.
