Position: Care Partner (Universal Worker), Overnight Shift at 10 pm - 6 am
Availability: Regular Part-Time Schedule
Purpose:
As a Care Partner, you’ll provide essential direct care to residents while ensuring a supportive, safe, and engaging environment. You’ll assist with personal care, medication administration, meal services, housekeeping, and laundry, all while respecting the individual needs and preferences of each resident. Your role will help maintain the independence and dignity of our residents, encouraging wellness, confidence, and choice.
Reports To: Program Director/Executive Director
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Providing Compassionate Care: Assist with activities of daily living, personal care, and medication management in accordance with each resident's Service Plan. Empower residents to maintain as much independence as possible.
- Maintaining Wellness & Dignity: Help serve meals, assist with housekeeping, and create an environment that promotes health, safety, and self-care.
- Ensuring Safety: Administer medications accurately, respond to changes in residents' physical or mental well-being, and follow all emergency procedures.
- Collaborating with the Team: Work with fellow staff, including nurses and managers, to ensure a cohesive, positive care environment.
- Documenting & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of medication, treatments, and resident progress.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- A passion for senior care and the ability to engage with and support elderly individuals
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to follow detailed care plans
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Adaptability and flexibility to meet the needs of our residents
Minimum Requirements:
- Compassion for the elderly and ability to interact in a positive manner
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents and team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established care plans
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a home care aide certification, food handler's permit, First Aid certification, and other required certifications
- Ability to work assigned schedule
- Dependable and able to maintain reliable attendance
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, reach, bend, and assist residents with mobility
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs routinely
- Fine hand coordination and visual acuity for tasks like medication administration and documentation
