What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech- Rock Haven position at Rock County?
Inspects motors, air conditioning units and related equipment. Repairs, troubleshoots, replaces, and inspects electrical equipment, appliances and fixtures. Performs mechanical maintenance, troubleshoots, and repairs plumbing systems and fixtures. Replaces piping, valves and other worn or damaged parts. Checks and adjusts regulator valves for proper pressure.
Operates commercial mowers and grounds equipment. Performs routine maintenance on vehicles and outdoor equipment.
Considerable knowledge of building maintenance methods, materials, and equipment. Considerable knowledge of power and hand tools and their application in work situations. Working knowledge of occupational hazards and safe work practices. Ability to inspect and troubleshoot a variety of electrical, mechanical and other equipment to determine defects and needed repairs. Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects. Knowledge of welding repair. Ability to perform preventive maintenance on a wide variety of mechanical equipment Must have good communication skills Must have good customer service skills
Must possess and maintain a current unrestricted (not due to corrective lenses) driver's license and auto insurance pursuant to the Rock County Administrative Policy and Procedure 5.02 and 5.27.
Must possess a working telephone.
