What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Intern position at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum?
PRODUCTION
The Production Intern works closely with other members of the Audio-Visual Services Department, supporting the following programs: Rock Hall Nights performances, Lunch by the Lake, festival style show days, and various corporate events.
TASKS & DUTIES
- Set up and wiring of Rock Hall stages
- Mix audio for local and regional artists
- Interface with artists and clients
- Operate lighting console for events
- Attend meetings and collaboration discussions
- Assist with internal events and large-scale meetings
Possible projects
- Advancing and running the production for the Artist in Residence showcase
- Creating and implementing a festival style run of show
- Assist with installation of new exhibits
- Audio system tuning
Requirements & Qualifications
- Knowledge and expertise in use of basic audio equipment
- Basic understanding of audio signal flow
- Some mixing experience
- Effective verbal and written communication with artists and clients
- Passion for learning new skills including lighting and video systems
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Flexible and able to adjust to changing demands
- Attention to detail and good organizational & planning skills
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time, must be able to use ladders, must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, must be able to crawl and work in confined spaces, must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions, must be able to work in crowds of people, and must be able to work with continuous loud music.
- Must be available to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed

ELIGIBILITY
Intern applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or graduate school program.
Details
- Rock Hall internships are paid positions, and for enrichment purposes must be willing to work within other departments.
- The internship is onsite, starting May 20th with the end date to be determined, possibly extending into fall of 2026. Hours will taper dramatically in September.
- Estimated weekly hours for this internship: 32 – 35 hours
