Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the bar, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring that all equipment is in good working order.
- Manage a team of bartenders and other bar staff, providing training and guidance to ensure that they are meeting the restaurant's high standards.
- Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring that every guest has a positive dining experience.
- Manage shift schedules, including scheduling, time off requests, and ensuring that the bar is fully staffed at all times.
- Develop and implement effective training programs for new staff members, including on-the-job training and classroom instruction.
- Assist with banquet and special event planning, ensuring that all logistical and staffing needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including the bar itself, the surrounding tables, and the storage areas.
- Ensure that all bar staff are knowledgeable about the restaurant's menu and can make recommendations to guests.
- Monitor and control costs, ensuring that the bar is profitable and meeting the restaurant's financial goals.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in bartending or a related field.
- A strong background in hospitality and customer service.
- Proven experience in managing a team of staff members.
- Knowledge of the restaurant industry, including the operation of a bar and the preparation of cocktails and other beverages.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks at once.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
