Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court proceedings and other legal matters.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, particularly in Environmental Law and Tribal Law regulations.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the law office to strategize case approaches.
- Manage case files efficiently and maintain accurate documentation throughout the litigation process.
- Provide clients with clear guidance on their rights and obligations under the law.
Skills
- Proficiency in legal drafting and documentation.
- Strong litigation skills with the ability to litigate effectively in court.
- Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate settlements.
- Tennessee law license is required.
- Familiarity with legal administrative tasks within a law office setting.
