As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to manufacture high-precision parts that meet quality standards. You will work with various tools, equipment, and systems to ensure that production runs smoothly. Your role will involve machine setup, programming adjustments, quality inspections, and performing routine maintenance
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC Machines: Utilize CNC mills (Visionwide / Hurco / Sharp / Quasar) to produce both prototype and production parts.
- Set Up Equipment: Perform job setups, tool changes, and program downloads for efficient machine operation.
- Programming Adjustments: Modify CNC programs as necessary to enhance part accuracy and production efficiency.
- First-Piece Inspection: Conduct first-piece inspections using precision measurement tools to verify dimensions and quality.
- Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoot machines to resolve any operational issues.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.
- Material Handling: Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment to move raw materials and finished products.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and replenish tools, cutting fluids, and other necessary supplies for continuous production.
- Process Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives and suggest ways to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
- Documentation: Accurately document production data, machine settings, and quality control results.
- Follow ISO 9001:2015 and QMS procedures.
- Adhere to RWCI’s 5 A’s: Attendance, Accountability, Attitude, Aptitude, and Appearance
Tools & Equipment:
- CNC Machines: mills
- Precision Measurement Tools: Calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, and bore gauges for inspecting parts
. Material-Handling Equipment: Pallet jacks, forklifts, hoists, and carts for moving materials.
- Hand Tools: Wrenches, screwdrivers, Allen keys, and pliers for machine adjustments and setups. Computer Systems: JobBoss or similar ERP systems for scheduling, job tracking, and inventory management.
- Machine Controls: G& M code programming and CNC control panels for programming adjustments.
- Cutting Tools: Drills, end mills, inserts, and other cutting tools for CNC machine operations.
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): Safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, hearing protection, and other necessary safety gear.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary welding education preferred
- 2-5 years of relevant CNC experience editing programs on CNC mills via G&M codes.
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical test.
- Experience with Fanuc controls and Mastercam
- understands tool offsets and wear offsets
- Experience working in a Manufacturing setting and adhering to quality and production standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings, symbols, G&M Codes and job specifications.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Jobboss)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour
