Job Title: Clinical Nutrition Specialist
Department: Food and Nutrition
Location: Lipson Cancer Institute
Hours Per Week: Per diem
Schedule: Monday-Friday day shift, flexible
SUMMARY:
Provides nutritional care of at risk patients/residents and acts as a consultant to other health care professionals in determining the best nutritional care options for their patients/residents.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assessment: Complete nutritional assessments for all patients; provide input into Nutritional Support Service rounds for assigned patients; monitor and document patient progress.
Nutritional Therapy Planning: Provide recommendations for formulations, rate and volume for all tube fed and TPN patients. Instruct patients and families on special diets and general good nutrition.
Patient Care: Develop plan of care per clinical data, interview, diagnosis and treatment goals; provide oversight to dietetic technicians providing patient care.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1 year of clinical nutrition experience as a Registered Dietitian.
Bachelor’s Degree from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) accredited program.
Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of two (2) years of acute clinical experience.
Demonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements for nutrition care.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong analytical thinking and computer skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $30.50 - $38.50
