SUMMARY
As a Nuclear Medical Technologist, you play an important part in high quality nuclear medicine procedures needed to deliver quality care to our patients. Performs all diagnostic exams, quality assurance procedures, the receipt, administration, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals, and records all data on the appropriate computerized information system.
STATUS: Per Diem
LOCATION: UMMC - North Street Campus
DEPARTMENT: Radiology
SCHEDULE: Per Diem | Mon - Fri; 7 am - 3 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
Equipment Operation. Perform a variety of diagnostic exams and quality assurance procedures; ensure that nuclear imaging equipment is in optimal working condition.
Patient Care. Maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients throughout the area; educate patients regarding their procedure, and maintain a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for the patient throughout the exam
Documentation. Maintains clear documentation within radiopharmacy information systems

Strong computer and interpersonal/communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine or completion of a certification program is required.
2 years of experience preferred.
ARRT and/or NMTCB Certification within 3 months of hire.
Required Licensure/Certification Skills: NYS License in Radiologic Technology in the area of Nuclear Medicine required OR must hold a NYS permit and obtain licensure within 6 months of hire.
Continuing education classes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
PAY RANGE: $38.00 - $51.50
