Construction Laborer - Heavy Highway

We are looking for a Laborer for Heavy Highway Civil Construction Work

Job Description:

We are a construction company in the Rochester, NY area looking to hire possibly 2 Heavy Highway Laborers, someone with at least 5 years experience in Water Services, Installation of water main, sewer, civil construction and/or site work installation

Please do not apply if you have not worked for another construction company doing similar work in the Civil Construction/Heavy Highway field.

Responsibilities include:

Work geared toward the installation and/or repair of water main, Water service replacements, installation and/or repair of sewer main, pump station installation, site work, civil construction which includes, but not limited to: restoration work (seeding, topsoil, spreading straw), concrete work, paving, material handling(getting materials from staging yard or trucks as needed and knowing what materials to get), site cleanup, digging by hand, flagging as needed and other tasks necessary for the project at hand.

• We are looking for someone who knows and has previously done Heavy Highway Construction in the past including but not limited to: Water Main Installs, Water Services, Sewer Main Repair and replacement, Pump Station Installs, Civil Construction/Site Work.
• We are looking for someone who takes direction well, and can pick up our process quickly and then be able to continue working without needing to be told step by step what to do
• We are looking for a hard worker, who shows up on time and does not waste time getting production going, we are not intersted in someone who would rather stand around and talk all day
• Willing to travel to site locations (the majority of our work is within a 45 min- 1 hour drive from Rochester, NY) We are currently on a 2 year project in the City of Rochester
• Willing to work all year round

Eligible candidates must have

• At least 5 years experience in this specific concentration of construction
• Reliable transportation/ license
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• OSHA 10
• CDL-A driver's license a plus, but not necessary

Prevailing Wage rate will be paid on all public work jobs with benefits paid out in cash

We are looking for a candidate who can work in a group setting of employees that do not beat around the bush, we work hard and know what needs to be done and expect that you will do the same.

Again we cannot stress this enough: If you do not have the knowledge of this type of work and would be unable to tell us what is needed to put a water service or a water main together or force main sewer together please do not apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $66.06 per hour
