Quality Assurance Processing Technician

CMG is expanding and seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to be assigned to Rochester Meats in Rochester, MN.

Shift: 1st Shift

Pay Increases:
Employees are eligible for regular pay raises at 60 days, 6 months, 1 year, 18 months, and 2 years as part of our structured compensation plan.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age to use equipment/tools.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, with the ability to follow instructions.
• Possess basic mathematic skills.
• Neatness in appearance, with a pleasant, outgoing, self-motivated personality.
• Ability to work a schedule based on the business needs of the store location.
• Authorized to work within the U.S.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible to make sure quality and food safety standards have been met.

· Proper completion of HACCP, SSOP and other quality department paperwork.

· Support Rochester Meats GMPs and SSOPs and follow up with any deficiencies.

· Perform daily inspections of incoming and finished product. Must accurately document findings.

· Responsible to calibrate and verify equipment.

· Complete chemical titrations and microbiological analysis.

· Perform GMP audits, SSOP and HACCP reviews.

· Perform facility inspections and document findings.

· Perform weekly, monthly, and yearly lab testing on equipment, product, and environment.

Skills Preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.

1. Excellent communication skills between coworkers and supervisors.

2. Familiar with USDA regulations.

3. Attention to detail.

4. Able to work independently and as a team.

5. Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements: (with or without reasonable accommodation):

Ability to lift/move 10-40pounds. Requires varying degrees of pushing, pulling (of 400-pound tubs), bending, and lifting to move boxes. Must be able to continuously perform simple repetitive and manipulative tasks. Able to perform tasks requiring action of muscles or groups of muscles such as walking, reaching, climbing, and stooping. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
