What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ticket Sales Intern position at Rochester Honkers?
The Rochester Honkers, proud members of the Northwoods Summer Collegiate League for 33 years, are looking for a customer-first and aggressive Ticket Sales Intern who is willing to learn the ticket sales process and help grow attendance at historic Mayo Field. Ticket sales is the perfect way to break into the industry by learning how to get fans into their perfect ticket package(s). Interns will get to learn the sales process from cold calling to ticket delivery to ensuring fans have a memorable experience to following up with clients. Along with learning the sales process, Interns will get to learn and use the Honkers ticketing system and execute top-notch customer service along the way. This ticket sales internship will start in the Spring Semester (can work remotely) and extend through the 2026 summer season (Memorial Day through mid-August). - Coordinate renewals of previous ticket buyers, etc.
- Call on all warm leads to upsell ticket packages to single game buyers
- Generate leads, prospecting for new potential buyers
- Work in the Honkers office, assisting ticket buyers with pre-purchasing during the summer and do follow up calls/correspondence with ticket buyers to gauge their experience, use their feedback and invite them to return.
- Work in Ticket Window on gamedays to sell tickets to walk-up buyers
- Assist with gameday setup duties and other gameday tasks as needed
