General Summary
Responsible for strategic sales in the High Rel industry in China, including managing all Hi-Rel transfer businness into the local enterprise OEM in China. This role will address and develop all Hi-Rel OEMs like CSR, CNPCC, Aviation, Aerospace, etc. We require a strong, capable, driven individual with the ability & experience to open up this significant potential in China as it is opening up the transportation and aviation capabilities to the world. This is an individual contributor and will work closely with the China ISR team.
- Reporting to the Sales Manager, China, this position will work closely with the inside sales team and technical sales team to drive the overall company business strategy. The individual will be responsible for managing the Chengdu office as the figure head in that area
- Develop and execute sales business plans and strategies to maximize revenue growth, increase market share, and position the company as a strategic supplier at key customers and in the high reliability segment (Transportation, Powergrid, Aerospace, Aviation, etc.)
- Exceed defined sales / revenue budget for region
- Promote Rochester Electronics full range of products and services
Responsibilities
- Owner of direct customer activities within the defined region, working in conjunction with the inside sales representative and technical manager to increase sales of Rochester Electronics products and services to customers in accordance with agreed strategies and business plans
- Identify major opportunities, gain information, and develop strategies utilizing all available resources to grow the account base within region
- Position will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle from lead generation, qualifying business opportunities, creating and delivering sales presentations, creating sales proposals, negotiating and closing the deal
- Responsible for accurate and timely forecasting of new business opportunities and revenue for the region and ensuring the customer relationship management system is utilized and maintained on a daily basis
- Provide effective communication and service to the customer base and effectively navigate internally to influence decisions and priorities on active business opportunities
- Must be willing and able to travel
Qualifications
- Business degree or Electronics Engineering degree required
- Proven sales & accounts management experience (8-10 years)
- Experience managing a large segment, region or account
- Strong technical sales experience and a proven track record of successfully selling high tech product solutions (strong working knowledge of the semiconductor in the high reliability industry preferred)
- Proven background in developing relationships with key decision makers and influencers including experience in closing complex product deals
- Excellent communication/negotiating/closing skills with customers/prospects
- Flexibility and multi-tasking, ability to undertake several tasks at once and manage them efficiently
- Ability to work through a problem and maintain focus with little or no supervision
- Positive attitude with an ability to absorb & learn quickly
- Team player
- Microsoft Office Suite skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
