Woodworking Paint & Stain Technician

Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Production Manager, the finisher will be responsible for the oversight and application of water and oil-based primers and finishes via a spray-based system to a variety of parts including, but not limited to, luxury wood windows.

Essential Job Functions

· Sanding Prep

· Use of Oil and Water based Stain

· Ability to color-match as needed

· Clear and Pigmented Sealers and topcoats

· Utilizes various spray equipment

· Read and interpret shop drawings

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements

· Self-starter with a strong attention to detail

· Minimum 3 years of finishing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

· Ability to read and interpret shop drawings a must

· Basic math including addition and subtraction of fractions

· Strong reading and writing skills

Other Skills/Abilities

Experience in spray booth operations

· Minimum 5 years’ experience finishing in a custom woodshop preferred

· Must possess a valid driver’s license

· Demonstrated ability to operate hand, air, and power tools

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
