What are the responsibilities and job description for the Upper Elementary Teacher position at Rochester Academy Charter School?
Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Upper Elementary Grade (3-5) Teacher for the 26-27 school year. This is a full-time contract position.
Candidates should expect:
- Small class size- Max 25 students
- Departmentalized grade level- homeroom and only 1-2 subjects to specialize in
- A supportive grade level and leadership team
- Support for challenging situations with a dedicated Student Care Staff
- New York State Teachers' Retirement
- Early School schedule- 7:15-3:15

Qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess New York State certification, substaintial pay increase for NYS certification. Candidates with out-of-state certification will be considered. Experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Education or have completed a teacher certification program. Salary will be calculated based on status of certification, years of experience, and accomplishment of a Master's Degree.
