Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role involves supporting classroom activities, fostering a safe and nurturing environment for young children, and assisting lead teachers in implementing developmental programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with toddlers, possess strong caregiving skills, and be committed to promoting positive learning experiences. Prior experience in childcare, preschool settings, or early childhood education is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Support daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and nap times with patience and care.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free classroom environment.
- Engage children in play-based learning activities that encourage exploration and creativity.
- Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones to inform teaching strategies.
- Foster positive behavior management techniques to promote respectful interactions among children.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily experiences and developmental progress.
- Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early education practices.
- Prior experience with infants or toddlers care is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified.
- Familiarity with special education needs or working with children with disabilities is advantageous.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a nurturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members.
