You will manage the Assay Transfer Development team, overseeing budgets, resource allocation, and process characterization to ensure products are robust and sustainable. By setting high standards for efficiency, you’ll drive the seamless transition of complex assays across their entire lifecycle.
The Opportunity:
The expected salary range for this position is 116,500-216,300 based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.

The Opportunity:
- Works with Assay Care Team leadership to establish overall team direction and goals, and direction of resources toward completion of goals. Provides an open, collaborative environment focused on teamwork during reagent product development
- Establishes and maintains design transfer project milestones and timelines
- Communicates with product development and operations teams to share information and implement lean, standard development practices
- Manages production of Pilot Reagent lots used for verification and validation studies at varying scales
- Interfaces with other Business Units if new products designed in Tucson will be manufactured at other sites
- Actively explores new methodologies, equipment, processes to improve reagent quality and reduce product cost
- Manages staff; provides staff with coaching, training and opportunities to develop skills, and gives ongoing, constructive and timely feedback on performance and progress toward goals and expectations
- You have a BS (with 8 yrs), or a MS (with 6 yrs), or PhD (with 4 yrs) in relevant engineering or scientific disciplines or Product design/development, software development, instrument or reagent systems integration, chemistry/reagent design/development, project management and/or marketing management of new products
- You have a proven track record of driving advanced multiplexing project deliverables; expert in spearheading experimental design and data analysis while maintaining stakeholder alignment across high-complexity initiatives
- You have strategically guided Assay Transfer’s transition to the Agile framework; currently serves as Product Owner/Co-Product Owner, overseeing planning and navigating organizational changes
- You have expertise in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) with a disciplined approach to deadline management, strategic planning, and cross-functional problem-solving
- You are highly effective at translating complex technical data into actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- You have previous people management experience
- You have prior technical project management experience
