Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Generalist Paralegal or Senior Legal Assistant in the NYC area to join our growing and fast-paced team. The Generalist Paralegal or Senior Legal Assistant will support the Managing Director, Head of Closings and Servicing. This position plays a critical role in facilitating the seamless closing of real estate transactions, managing ongoing loan servicing matters, and providing direct administrative and legal support to the department head. The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in real estate law and finance, thrives in a fast-paced transactional environment, and possesses the organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent matters with precision and professionalism.
The Real Estate Paralegal will handle matters all throughout the country and will manage a high volume of files. Roc360 is highly tech-based with automation, a focus towards AI initiative and very customer-service centric. Training will be provided.
The Paralegal or Senior Legal Assistant must possess exemplary attention to detail, be self-motivated and proactive in nature, have strong organizational skills to manage large volumes and have the ability to make decisions independently, while managing risk and ensuring the quality and compliance with company and investor/buyer guidelines is being met.
Responsibilities will include:
• Coordinate and manage all phases of residential and commercial real estate closings.
• Interact with mortgage brokers and salespeople on the coordination of their real estate closings, serving as a conduit between them and the lender.
• Support the day-to-day administration of a portfolio of residential loans and properties.
• Prepare and process loan modification agreements, payoff statements and other loan-level agreements.
• Coordinate and work alongside external attorneys on matters involving loan defaults and litigation.
• Support default management activities including demand letters, notices of default and foreclosures under attorney supervision.
• Provide direct legal and administrative support to the department head.
• Prepare internal and external reports, status summaries and pipeline updates.
• Track deadlines and assist with special projects.
• Manage calendars of the department head.
• Working alongside the internal quality control review team in processing all files.
Qualifications / Requirements
• In-person NYC candidates only (potential for limited hybrid work).
• 2 years’ experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, specifically as it pertains to real estate.
• Demonstrated familiarity and experience with a real estate transactions and/or litigation.
• BS/BA degree or higher.
• Familiarity with Microsoft products, including Word and Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time-management, organizational and execution skills.
• Experience in handling a voluminous pipeline is preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
• Team-oriented and highly collaborative personality.

• Title/ salary level will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and background.
