Civil Engineer Project Manager - Land/Site Development
Location: Houston, TX
Work Schedule: Hybrid
I am partnered with a nationwide civil engineering firm that is continuing to grow its Land Development and Site Engineering team in Houston. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for a Civil Engineer Project Manager who enjoys leading projects, working directly with clients, and remaining hands-on technically while mentoring junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage land development projects for commercial, institutional, and residential clients
- Oversee site design, including grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and erosion control
- Prepare and review site layouts, construction documents, and technical reports
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and local agencies throughout design, permitting, and construction
- Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets
- Mentor and support junior engineers and designers
- Support projects from initial planning through construction completion
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Master’s degree a plus
- 6 or more years of professional experience in land development or site civil engineering
- Texas Professional Engineer license
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with commercial real estate and site development projects
