We are seeking a dependable, motivated Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team.
Position Summary
The Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing service requests, preparing apartments for new residents, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with the overall upkeep of our apartment communities. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform apartment turnovers, including repairs, painting, cleaning coordination, and final inspections.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, flooring, doors, windows, and appliances.
- Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Maintain grounds and common areas as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with company standards and applicable safety regulations.
- Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and property management staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of apartment maintenance or related maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently.
- Valid New York State driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work, including climbing ladders, kneeling, and working in varying weather conditions.
- Must have own basic power tools and equipment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
