Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Direct Support Professional located in San Diego, CA. The Direct Support Professional will be responsible for assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily routines, including personal care, community activities, and skill development. Responsibilities also include fostering a supportive and safe environment, implementing individual support plans, and maintaining open communication with team members and families to ensure high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Experience or background in Human Services and working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with individuals and their families.
- Effective Communication skills, including the ability to document daily activities and report any concerns or updates clearly.
- Capability to provide or participate in Training to improve care techniques and adhere to best practices in the field.
- Reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in care-related fields is a plus.
