Job Description
Position Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Onsite Technical Project Manager to lead large-scale digital transformation and telecom initiatives.
- The candidate will act as the primary interface between customer stakeholders, business teams, architects, development teams, QA teams, and offshore delivery organizations.
- The role requires strong technical acumen, project governance expertise, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive delivery excellence across multiple workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Program & Project Delivery
- Manage end-to-end project delivery, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies.
- Drive project execution across onsite and offshore teams.
- Ensure timely delivery of milestones, releases, and customer commitments.
- Conduct project governance reviews and provide regular status reporting to leadership.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer leadership and business stakeholders.
- Lead solution discussions, requirement clarifications, and prioritization workshops.
- Build strong relationships with customer teams and drive customer satisfaction.
- Facilitate executive-level reviews and steering committee meetings.
- Technical Leadership
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to define technical solutions.
- Review application design, integration architecture, release plans, and implementation strategies.
- Support technical decision-making and risk mitigation.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards.
- Agile Delivery Management
- Lead Agile ceremonies and program increment planning activities.
- Monitor sprint progress, velocity, delivery commitments, and quality metrics.
- Coordinate among Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Development, QA, and Operations teams.
- Remove delivery blockers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Financial & Resource Management
- Manage project financials, forecasts, budgets, and revenue realization.
- Track resource utilization and capacity planning.
- Support SOW management, change requests, and invoicing activities.
- Ensure achievement of project margin and profitability targets.
- Risk & Issue Management
- Identify project risks proactively and execute mitigation plans.
- Escalate critical issues appropriately and drive resolution.
- Monitor dependencies across multiple teams and vendors.
- Maintain RAID logs and governance documentation.
Required Skills
- Project Management
- PMP, Prince2, SAFe, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong expertise in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Hybrid delivery models.
- Experience managing distributed onsite-offshore delivery teams.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Cloud, APIs, Microservices, and Enterprise Applications.
- Experience working with Java, Telecom BSS/OSS, Digital Platforms, or Enterprise Systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, Release Management, and Production Support processes.
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, and Power BI.
- Client Management
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience managing executive and business leadership interactions.
Preferred Experience
- Telecom domain experience.
- Experience managing Digital Catalog, Order Management, BRM, CRM, or Enterprise Transformation programs.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar programs and global teams.
- Experience driving AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
