What are the responsibilities and job description for the Athletic Trainer position at Robstown ISD?
Plan, coordinate, and supervise all components of athletic training program for student athletes. Work to carry out activities in the following areas: preventive, evaluation, emergency treatment, physical reconditioning, and rehabilitation of injuries; which allows for the least loss of competitive time, while keeping, as the top priority, the mental and physical welfare of the athlete.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree
Valid license from Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
Current adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator
(AED) certification
TSATA/TEA Instructor Certified in Sports Medicine I & II
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and injury prevention
Ability to provide emergency care and rehabilitation for student athletic injuries
Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes and assistants
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Minimum two years' experience as an athletic trainer
