Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to design detailed test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Execute manual functional, UI, integration, and regression tests across web and/or mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover usability and edge-case issues.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and QA review sessions within an Agile/Scrum team.
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure issues are well understood and resolved promptly.
- Conduct smoke and sanity testing after deployments.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive test documentation.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression and smoke testing using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
- Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Assist in selecting tools and frameworks for test automation.
- Contribute to improving overall test coverage and reducing manual regression effort over time.
- Support the QA team in transitioning appropriate test cases from manual to automated tests
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing of web and/or mobile applications.
- Working knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
- Basic experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or Rest Assured.
- Understanding of version control systems (Git preferred).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience with SQL for data validation.
- Knowledge of performance or security testing concepts is a plus.
- Experience working in a CI/CD environment.
