About Robot.com

Robot.com is redefining real-world automation — no sci-fi, just robots with jobs 🤖. Founded in 2017 and rooted in Colombia's culture of innovation, we've grown from campus pilots to one of the most active robot fleets on Earth, now operating across more than 30 campuses and cities worldwide. With headquarters in San Francisco and teams in Colombia and Taiwan, we build purpose-driven robots designed for the present: wheeled, reliable, and delightfully functional.

We power last-mile delivery, mobile advertising, warehouse logistics, and food service operations — all aimed at making everyday systems smarter, faster, and more sustainable. After completing over one million robotic tasks in under a year, we're scaling a movement that brings robotics out of the lab and into daily life. Robots shouldn't be overdesigned for imaginary futures — they should be built for real-world work, now. 🦾

About This Opportunity

We're building the Launch Network — a hand-picked group of independent field operators trained to deploy and run our R noids at live demo events across the US. You'll be among the first people in the world to operate next-generation humanoid robots in real commercial environments, in front of real audiences. 🚀

This isn't a traditional scheduled role. Once you complete training and join the network, you'll be notified whenever a project opens in your area. You choose which engagements to take — no minimums, no rigid schedules. Just good work when it works for you.

How the Launch Network works

  • Apply & get trained. Selected candidates complete a structured training program covering R noid operations, safety protocols, teleoperation, and data handling.
  • Join the network. Once you pass training, you're in — and we'll notify you as project opportunities open up.
  • Receive project posts. When a demo lands in a US city, you get the full picture: location, dates, scope, and compensation. No surprises.
  • Accept what works for you. No pressure to take every project. Operators who stay active and deliver great work get first access to what comes next.
  • Execute and get paid. Run the engagement, send your invoice, and get paid. Simple.

What you'll do on deployments

  • Operate and monitor the R noid throughout demo sessions — catching bugs or performance issues before they become problems.
  • Run startup, configuration, and shutdown procedures according to our standard operating protocols.
  • Guide the R noid through programmed routines and live tasks during demos.
  • Log, document, and escalate technical issues to the engineering team using our designated tracking tools.
  • Collect and process operational data — label it and upload it into our AI training and reporting systems.
  • Keep the environment safe for everyone on-site. Always.
  • Represent Robot.com in front of clients, partners, and the public — and make us proud.

What we're looking for

  • Technical aptitude. Hands-on experience with robotics, electromechanical systems, AV/tech operations, or similar. You know how to troubleshoot when things get weird.
  • Physical capability. You can stand 8 hours, handle humanoid hardware, and adapt to different venue setups.
  • Professionalism & communication. Strong verbal and written skills in English and/or Spanish. You're comfortable in front of people.
  • Reliability & focus. You follow procedures, stay sharp during long sessions, and don't cut corners.
  • Adaptability. You pick up new systems fast and take feedback well.
  • Availability to travel. You're genuinely ready to travel across the US for projects. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Prior experience operating humanoid or mobile robots in commercial or research settings.
  • Background in live event production, trade shows, or technical demos.
  • Great spatial awareness, physical coordination, and the ability to master new tasks fast.
  • A real passion for getting robots into the world — not just talking about it.

Contractor relationship & compensation

This is an independent contractor engagement (1099-NEC). You operate as a self-employed individual and are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes, including self-employment tax. Robot.com will not withhold taxes, provide benefits, or cover workers' compensation or unemployment insurance.

Compensation details — including per-project rates and travel reimbursement terms — are spelled out in each project post. Rates vary by scope, location, and duration. Payment is issued upon receipt of a valid invoice after completion. A Form W-9 is required before your first engagement; IRS Form 1099-NEC is issued for total payments of $600 or more in a calendar year.

Every project post includes full compensation details so you can decide before committing to anything.

Ready to join the Launch Network? 🦾

Apply below. Qualified candidates will be invited to a brief screening call, then to our next training cohort. Complete training, join the network, and start taking on the deployments that work for you.
