Duties
- Supervise students during bus rides, ensuring they follow safety rules and behave appropriately
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely, especially those with special needs or requiring additional support
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and resolve conflicts calmly and effectively
- Communicate clearly with students, drivers and dispatchers
- Support students with disabilities or special education requirements to ensure their comfort and safety during transit
- Maintain a safe environment by monitoring student behavior and enforcing school policies
Requirements
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and conflict resolution skills
- Familiarity with special education needs and classroom experience is a plus
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism
- Valid certification in first aid is desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified
