Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Recycling Center Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the recycling operations, ensuring that materials are processed efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment while operating heavy equipment and assisting with various tasks related to recycling.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as front loader trucks and forklifts to manage recyclable materials.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor, including digging and moving materials as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the recycling center by ensuring all areas are tidy and free from debris.
- Assist in the fabrication of recycling bins or other necessary equipment as required.
- Safely operate garbage trucks for the collection of recyclable materials.
- Monitor incoming recyclable materials for contamination and ensure proper sorting procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize recycling processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred, including front loader trucks and forklifts.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks consistently throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining a clean work environment.
- Basic knowledge of recycling processes and materials is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
