Role
Oversees the technical aspects of the project(s) including the architectural and/or interior documentation, detailing, construction materials, specifications, building codes, planning approvals process and construction observation. Mentors other team members and reviews their documentation, and works with the Project Manager to meet budget, milestones and deliverables. Provides periodic review of the consultants work and conveys client’s goals and design intent. This position will have close interaction with clients.

Salary range $90,000 – $118,000/ per year.

Responsibilities
- Works with team to advance the design into technical documents. Oversees the work of other technical staff.
- Communicates with Project Manager/Project Architect on program, design, budget and schedule for timely and appropriate design development.
- Collaborates and communicates with designers and other team members.
- Develops 3D studies, models, drawings and renderings with some oversight. Provides guidance to junior staff team on these task types.
- Selects method of drawing and documentation suitable for the project and client type.
- Prepares presentations and documents under the guidance of a Project Manager.
- Prepares and participates in developing presentation techniques that communicate the design concept(s) to the internal teams and client.
- Strategizes the content and prepares the framework drawing set during all phases of the project(s) and in coordination with project plan.
- Coordinate with Project Manager / Project Architect and disseminate to project team the project schedule and budget.
- Responsible for researching and implementing building code and municipal requirements.
- Obtains data from team and consultants for specification preparation.
- Prepares information required by specifications writer and coordinates preparation of specifications. Reviews specifications.
- Provides supervision and quality-control review of team.
- Enlists technical leads for QAQC full reviews.
- Apply standard RMW best practices, details, and forms.
- Prepare and oversee preparation of design and construction documents.
- Utilize RMW standard templates, details and forms.
- Validates materials, finishes, furniture and building systems that align with project goals, including sustainability, accessibility requirements.
- Develops solutions that integrate building systems, structure, and technology requirements.
- Coordinates consultants’ work during all project phases.
- Oversees Construction Administration with reviews of team’s site observations, RFIs and submittals.
- Conducts construction observation reviewing construction for general conformance with the design concept and technical requirements.

- Experience in design, preparing drawings and project documents and consultant coordination.
- Licensed Architect; additional credentials encouraged.
- 7 years of experience including coordinating technical projects, resources and project consultants.
- Commitment to design excellence and document quality.
- Substantial experience in design development and detailing on a range of project types and scales.
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rendering software, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite.
Salary range $90,000 – $118,000/ per year.
