The Design Intern supports the Engineering & Design team by assisting with mechanical design projects, developing CAD models and drawings, and preparing documentation for manufacturing.

Job Overview
The Design Intern supports the Engineering & Design team by assisting with mechanical design projects, developing CAD models and drawings, and preparing documentation for manufacturing.
Role Responsibilities (includes but not limited to)
- Assist in creating and updating 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Support development of design layouts based on customer specifications.
- Help prepare engineering documentation and models for manufacturing release.
- Assist with layout of customer drawings for processing on lasers, punch, and press brakes.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers to meet project requirements.
- Support maintenance of standard parts libraries and documentation systems.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Office, and Outlook for documentation and communication.
- Participate in process improvement efforts.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Basic proficiency in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Effective communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (coursework level acceptable).
