Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of engineers in the manufacturing environment to learn and improve the skills necessary for effective manufacture-based design.
- Learn to inform design decisions by conducting preliminary analyses.
- Create detail, assembly, and installation design definitions using CAD software.
- Validate designs to meet customer expectations, design objectives, and the requirements of 14 CFR Part 27.
- Interface with other engineering disciplines to determine the operating environment for design elements and resolve issues found during development and certification.
- Develop processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the work.
- Report project status, schedules, and risk to the project manager.
- Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or Civil Engineering program, or a related engineering program.
- Excellent academic record.
- Team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and work well with others.
- Experience with computer-aided design and modeling with a focus on design for manufacturing.
- Proven self-starter requiring minimal supervision, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with engineering design, fabrication, integration, development, and testing of civil aircraft, preferably rotorcraft.
- Previous internship experience.
