Demand Planner

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in demand planning, master scheduling, and forecasting with proven experience using Epicor ERP systems. This role will play a key part in optimizing our supply chain through accurate demand forecasting, efficient production scheduling, and effective inventory control. This position will require coordinating, optimizing and implementing production schedules to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with various departments, including engineering, production, procurement, and logistics, to maintain optimal inventory levels and meet customer demands.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, sales trends, and market intelligence.
• Create and manage the master production schedule (MPS) to ensure alignment with customer demand, inventory targets, and production capacity.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Inventory teams to synchronize supply and demand plans.
• Use Epicor ERP to maintain planning parameters, monitor material availability, and release work orders.
• Analyze forecast accuracy and schedule adherence; implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock to prevent excess or shortages while supporting OTIF (on-time-in-full) delivery goals.
• Prepare and present reports on forecast performance, schedule attainment, and inventory health.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels in warehouse management systems (WMS/ERP).
• Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including missing, overstocked, or damaged items.
• Generate inventory reports and provide analysis to support purchasing and production decisions.
  
  

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, production scheduling, or supply chain analytics.
• Strong experience with Epicor ERP (Kinetic preferred), including planning and inventory modules.
• Solid understanding of MRP/ERP systems, production planning, and inventory control principles.
• Proficient in Excel, data analysis, and forecasting tools (Power BI or similar a plus).
• APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process optimization.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices is a plus.
  
  

Qualifications

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business administration, or a related field.

• The position regularly needs to collaborate with department leaders, managers and their team members, vendors, to understand the needs of the Company.

• Project Management: The position is often involved with multiple projects at one time. The ability to organize details and complete projects in a timely manner is crucial in this position.
• Time Management: Completes daily tasks, prioritizes, and meets project deadlines. Maintains productivity to keep campaigns on schedule.
