What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Behavior Teacher (K-7) position at Robinson Elementary?
The Aurora R-VIII School District is currently accepting applications for a full-time elementary special education teacher (grade 3-6) for the 2026-2027 school year. Knowledge of the special education process and providing specialized services for students are required. It would be beneficial for applicants to have certification in special education along with elementary education. Aurora students attend school Monday-Thursday (4 days a week only). This person needs good communication skills and must have the ability to differentiate instruction and provide strategies needed for student learning. This person should be able to collaborate with others, develop plans to ensure learning, utilize behavior strategies to help with significant behaviors, and document well.
Benefits include a Board-paid health insurance stipend, paid sick/personal leave days, a special education stipend, and a staff-paid daycare.
