Role Description This is a for a part-time role. The Cleaner will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas. Responsibilities include emptying trash, replenishing supplies, cleaning windows and surfaces, and ensuring that all assigned spaces meet company cleanliness and safety standards. The role may involve light-duty tasks such as organizing supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and following checklists for each location. The Cleaner will also follow company guidelines for the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, while maintaining a professional and courteous presence at client sites.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial, residential, or custodial cleaning, or a strong willingness to learn professional cleaning techniques.
- Knowledge of basic cleaning methods, safe use of cleaning products, and proper handling of equipment such as vacuums and floor mops.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, complete task checklists, and adhere to company cleaning standards and schedules.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management skills to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift light to moderate loads, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Commitment to safety practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health and hygiene guidelines.
- Professional, respectful communication and customer service skills when interacting with clients and team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Fairfield, Valley and New Haven County, CT.
