House Operations Manager – Affiliate Recovery HousingPosition Overview
The House Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an affiliate sober living residence. This role serves as the primary leader for housing matters, ensuring that the home is safe, organized, and supportive of residents’ recovery. While supporting Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) with day-to-day tasks, the House Operations Manager’s primary focus is leadership, accountability, and being the “go-to” person for all housing issues.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Oversight
- Act as the primary point of contact for all housing matters.
- Provide leadership and support to Behavioral Health Technicians.
- Ensure the house maintains a safe, clean, and recovery-focused environment.
- Identify, review, and address housing action items (safety, cleanliness, maintenance, and resident issues).
Resident Operations
- Oversee move-ins and move-outs, ensuring proper paperwork and orientation are completed.
- Support drug screening processes and ensure documentation is compliant.
- Assist in removing clients who have relapsed or violated program rules, following established procedures.
- Promote accountability and enforce housing expectations consistently and fairly.
House Management
- Manage day-to-day operational needs, including grocery shopping, supply purchasing, and other household needs.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness standards across all common areas and resident rooms.
- Address maintenance needs promptly and coordinate repairs with leadership as needed.
- Complete regular walkthroughs of the property to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the Executive Director and Clinical/Operations leadership to ensure housing operations align with program standards.
- Communicate housing concerns and resident issues in real time for timely resolution.
- Support BHTs in their role by handling tasks that allow them to focus on direct resident care.
Qualifications
- Experience in recovery housing, residential operations, or related field preferred.
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and boundaries in a recovery setting.
- Reliable, organized, and able to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with substance use disorder treatment and recovery principles a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
