Position Overview
The Landscape Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing commercial landscape and irrigation installation projects from pre-construction through final completion.
This role manages budgets, schedules, crews, subcontractors, and client relationships to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
The Project Manager works closely with general contractors, internal production teams, vendors, and company leadership to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
· Manage landscape and irrigation installation projects from kickoff to completion
· Review plans, specifications, and contracts before construction begins
· Coordinate project schedules with superintendents and field crews
· Ensure all materials, equipment, and labor are scheduled appropriately
· Maintain project timelines and ensure milestones are met
Budget & Cost Control
· Manage project budgets and labor productivity
· Track costs, change orders, and job profitability
· Review and approve invoices from vendors and subcontractors
· Ensure accurate billing and project closeout documentation
Client & Contractor Communication
· Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors and clients
· Attend job site meetings and provide project updates
· Maintain professional relationships with contractors, inspectors, and vendors
· Resolve issues quickly and communicate solutions clearly
Field Leadership & Team Support
· Work closely with superintendents and foremen to ensure efficient job site operations
· Provide leadership and direction to field teams
· Ensure projects meet Robertson Landscape quality standards
Safety & Compliance
· Ensure all crews follow safety procedures and OSHA requirements
· Verify that installations meet plans, specifications, and local codes
· Coordinate inspections and approvals when required
