Duties
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling all retail sales transactions with accuracy and professionalism
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring merchandise is neat and accessible
- Maintain proper cash handling procedures, including cash drawer balancing and processing returns or exchanges
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems to process sales, returns, and exchanges smoothly while maintaining accurate records
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring store presentation aligns with brand standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations to ensure quick and accurate transactions
- Strong communication skills to engage with diverse customers effectively
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and balancing registers accurately
- Knowledge of retail store product details and merchandising techniques to enhance customer experience
