Role Description The Commercial Lines Account Manager is a full-time hybrid role based in Chattanooga, TN, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role manages a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, including policy renewals, coverage changes, and day-to-day service requests.
Responsibilities include preparing proposals, processing endorsements, coordinating certificates of insurance, and ensuring accurate documentation in agency systems. The Account Manager communicates regularly with clients, carriers, and internal team members to address coverage questions, resolve issues, and support risk management strategies. The position also involves providing support maintaining strong client relationships, and contributing to the growth and retention of the book of business.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Commercial Lines Coverage and commercial insurance products.
- Account Management experience, including managing renewals, policy changes, and documentation.
- Proven Customer Service skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional client relationships.
- Familiarity with Employee Benefits and Insurance concepts to support client needs.
- Relevant property & casualty insurance license.
- Experience working in an insurance agency or brokerage environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with insurance management systems and common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including professional email and phone etiquette.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and a client-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Familure with carrier online rating platforms.
- Experiance utilizing agency management system such as EPIC.
