Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Veterinarian, based in Gainesville, FL. The Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to animals, including performing examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and providing treatments. The role also entails conducting surgeries, educating pet owners on proper animal care, collaborating with a professional veterinary team, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in diagnosing, treating, and managing a variety of animal health conditions, as well as performing surgical procedures
- Strong communication skills to educate pet owners and collaborate effectively with a team
- General knowledge of veterinary medicine practices and techniques combined with the appropriate certifications and licenses required for the role
- Demonstrated compassion, attention to detail, and ability to work with animals in stressful situations
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities in medical emergencies and routine care
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Relevant experience in caring for small animals or exotics, depending on the specific area of practice
