The Client:
Our client is a globally established international financial institution undergoing strategic expansion within the U.S. capital markets space. With a strong presence across Europe and a growing footprint in North America, the organization is investing heavily in the buildout of its U.S. broker dealer platform and broader capital markets capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to join a lean, entrepreneurial team during a key growth phase and play a visible role in shaping long-term platform success.
What you will achieve in this role:
- Support the growth and expansion of the firm’s U.S. Debt Capital Markets platform across a variety of sectors and products
- Originate, structure, and execute capital markets transactions including corporate debt offerings, institutional financings, REIT-related transactions, and broader structured financing opportunities
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders across corporate banking, financial institutions, syndicate, and international teams
- Develop and maintain relationships with issuers, institutional investors, and strategic counterparties
- Contribute to cross-border transaction activity involving both North American and European stakeholders
- Assist in building scalable infrastructure, processes, and client coverage capabilities as the U.S. platform continues to mature
- Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory developments impacting the capital markets landscape
- Participate in client meetings, investor discussions, due diligence sessions, and transaction execution processes
What you must bring to this role:
- Significant experience within Debt Capital Markets, investment banking, syndicate, or broader capital markets environments
- Strong understanding of capital markets products, transaction execution, and debt financing structures
- Proven ability to operate effectively within lean or entrepreneurial platforms
- Broad product and sector exposure with the flexibility to support evolving business priorities
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Experience working within cross-border or international banking environments is considered a strong asset
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and execution skills
- FINRA licensing including SIE, Series 7, Series 79, and Series 63 preferred or in progress
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; advanced credentials considered an asset
