Job Overview
Our office is growing and seeking to hire a motivated Legal Assistant to join our team and assist with a wide variety of duties that are subject to change day to day. We are a very busy and fast-paced firm looking for a go-getter that is a team player, can learn quickly, handle multiple tasks and has great work ethic.
Legal experience is a plus, but not required. Very strong work ethic, ability to learn and adapt quickly, strong typing skills, attention to detail, proficiency in Word, Outlook and great organizational skills are required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Extensive interaction with various companies and/or providers for medical and billing record collection
- Extensive client interaction via phone, email and in person
- Word processing/transcription
- Scheduling, docketing and calendaring important dates
- E-filing pleadings in State, Federal and Municipal Courts
- Occasional coverage for the front desk
- Filing
- Efficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel
