Quality Control Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet rigorous quality standards and comply with industry regulations. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our production processes, uphold compliance with ISO standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, height gauges, and vision inspection systems to verify dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• Interpret mechanical blueprints and production documents accurately to ensure proper assembly and manufacturing processes are followed.
• Perform regular quality audits in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and FDA regulations to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.
• Utilize calibration tools and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to perform precise measurements, ensuring products meet specified tolerances and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
• Collect, analyze, and document data related to quality metrics, non-conformances, and inspection results for continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues promptly while maintaining regulatory/legal compliance standards in production.
• Support the implementation of quality management systems by participating in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of quality systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, HACCP, CGMP, and GMP.
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments including micrometers, height gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and vision inspection systems.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA regulations and ISO standards relevant to manufacturing industries.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data collection, analysis, and reporting effectively.
• Basic math skills necessary for dimensional measurements and quality calculations.
• Experience conducting quality audits and ensuring compliance with legal requirements in production processes.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
