Job Title:
CNC Lathes/Swiss machine Set-Up Person
Shift:
2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday: 3:00pm-1:00am
General Description:
Set-up, operate, and trouble shoot CNC Lathes and SWISS style machines
Responsibilities: (75% Set-Up; 15% Operating, 10% Other Duties)
- Set-up machines following layouts, blueprints and according to work order
- Fine tune machine until product passes first inspection
- Operate machine if required
- Read, understand information in workmanship standards
- Fill out appropriate sections of work order
- Handle, store, use micrometers, calipers, gages appropriately
- Perform and document Roberts inspection procedures when appropriate (SPC charts, work orders, move tickets)
- Identify nonconforming product or material
- Wash tools and return to storage area
- Oil, lube, clean and perform minor repairs as needed
- Communicate with tool room or maintenance as required by supervisor
- Assist with training of Operator persons as needed
- Know and follow safety standards
- Participate in corrective actions as required
- Move parts to next operation
- Remove scrap
- Operate pallet trucks
- Provide coaching and guidance to Set-Up Apprentice, as required
- Other duties as required

Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:
- Indoor conditions, noise, hazards, odors, toxic conditions, dust, and periods of travel to support company's international facilities may be required
Job Qualification Requirements:
- Knowledge
- High school graduate or equivalent; reading, basic math, blueprint reading
- CNC or Swiss machine experience
- Tool design, machine repair helpful
- Experience
- Training Period: 3 months to a year
- Machines, Tools, Equipment
- CNC, Swiss, hand tools, measuring instruments, surface and bench grinders. Lathe, mill, and drill press experience helpful
- Information/Directions
- Written and verbal work instructions, workmanship standards book (engineer drawings), quality control documentation (work orders, move tickets)
**Start earning PTO from the first date of hire, 80 hrs. PTO the first year, plus 72 hrs. Holiday and 3 paid sick days per year. Full benefits start after 30 days: Medical, Dental, 401K, short- and long-term disability and life insurance**
Salary : $25 - $32
