Position Overview
We're looking for a Part-Time Program Lead/Coordinator who loves working with children and can bring energy, imagination, and joy to our afternoon programs. This role is ideal for someone who delights in seeing kids light up during a craft project, a game, or a group activity. The Program Coordinator will help create an environment where every child feels included, supported, and excited to join in.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead daily activities designed to engage children, including arts & crafts, games, and enrichment projects.
- Actively participate with kids during activities, modeling teamwork, creativity, and kindness.
- Supervise children with care, ensuring safety while encouraging independence and confidence.
- Inspire fun and learning by turning everyday moments into opportunities for discovery.
- Communicate warmly with parents and caregivers about their child's experiences.
- Assist with program setup, cleanup, and keeping materials organized and ready for play.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure programs reflect the Community Center's mission of connection and creativity.
- Work front desk and create daily lists
Qualifications
- Experience working with children is not necessary, but must want to engage and learn individal personalitys.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with kids and families.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for crafts, games, and interactive learning.
- Ability to foster an inclusive, welcoming environment where every child feels valued.
- Reliability and professionalism in managing daily responsibilities.
Compensation & Benefits
- Part-time position (20 hours per week). More hours if needed up to 25
- Afternoon schedule: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
