The Instructional Assistant/Substitute plays a key role in creating a positive and engaging learning environment. Working under the direction of certified teachers, this position supports classroom instruction, assists students individually and in small groups, and provides coverage as a substitute teacher when needed.

What You’ll Do
- Support teachers and students in the classroom and during school activities.
- Help maintain a positive and organized learning environment.
- Assist students with assignments, projects, and classroom routines.
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other non-instructional times.
- Step in as a substitute teacher when needed (lesson plans provided).
- Prepare classroom materials, bulletin boards, and instructional displays.
- Uphold the RCCS Mission, Vision, and Values in all interactions.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- At least two years of post-secondary education or an Associate degree in a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Clear background checks per PA Acts 34, 114, 151, 168, and FBI requirements.
- Negative TB test result.
- Basic computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications (NOT REQUIRED):
- Pennsylvania Instructional Certification (or eligibility).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
