What You’ll Do

As our Assistant Facility Manager, you’ll support the Facilities Manager in maintaining the quality, safety, and functionality of all RCCS buildings and grounds. You’ll help lead maintenance projects, oversee shift operations, and ensure that every RCCS facility runs smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
  • Handle basic repairs — including carpentry, electrical, drywall, painting, and general upkeep.
  • Complete work orders efficiently and ensure safety standards are always met.
  • Participate in emergency drills and respond to after-hours calls when needed.
  • Assist with groundskeeping: lawn care, snow removal, tree/shrub maintenance, etc.
  • Supervise and assist facilities staff when assigned by the Facilities Manager.
  • Support school events, activities, and special projects.
  • Maintain accurate records and report safety concerns or maintenance issues promptly.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or related field
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass all required background checks (Acts 34, 114, 151, and 168)
  • Negative TB test result

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HVAC, electrical, or plumbing experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Demonstrated teamwork, reliability, and integrity

Physical Requirements

This position involves standing, walking, climbing, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Safety gear is provided and must be used at all times.
