Position Overview

The Client Engagement Specialist is a critical sales and client relations role responsible for converting inbound leads into retained clients. This position serves as the first point of contact for potential clients facing criminal charges or their loved ones seeking legal representation. You will conduct discovery calls, present fee agreements, discuss payment options, and close sales by collecting retainers or full fees. This is a full-cycle sales position requiring empathy, consultative selling skills, and the ability to build trust with people in crisis situations.


Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $50,000 base salary commission (OTE: $80,000)

Work Schedule

Flexible schedules available including non-traditional hours to meet client needs:

•       Hybrid work environment: Required monthly in-person staff meeting; optional office visits to support client consultations and payment processing

Note: Candidates with evening/weekend availability are highly valued as we seek to improve coverage during high-volume lead times.


Key Responsibilities

Lead Management & Conversion:

•       Handle inbound client inquiries via phone calls, text messages, and live chat

•       Conduct discovery to assess client needs and qualify leads for firm services

•       Present fee agreements and explain payment options including lending programs and payment arrangements

•       Close sales by facilitating collection of retainer payments or full fees

 

Client Relationship Building:

•       Establish rapport and trust with potential clients and their families during stressful, crisis situations

•       Provide clear, empathetic explanations of legal processes, firm values, and next steps

•       Set realistic expectations and ensure clients understand their journey with the firm

•       Follow up with clients post-intake to ensure smooth handoff to assigned attorney

Administrative & Systems Management:

•       Update CRM (Go High Level) with all client interactions, case details, and sales activities

•       Create and execute contracts through firm systems

•       Guide clients through intake forms and documentation requirements

•       Coordinate with administrative team to schedule initial strategy sessions

Pipeline & Performance Management:

•       Move opportunities through sales pipeline efficiently

•       Meet or exceed monthly closing goals

•       Maintain average case value targets and daily goals

•       Participate in regular coaching sessions and contribute to process improvement initiatives


Required Qualifications

Experience:

•       3-5 years of experience in full-cycle consultative sales, client relations, or legal intake roles

•       Proven track record of closing sales and meeting/exceeding quota

•       Experience in high-stakes sales, professional services, or working with people in crisis situations strongly preferred


Skills & Competencies:

•       Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with focus on rapport-building and trust development

•       Demonstrated ability to qualify leads and conduct effective discovery

•       Strong closing skills with experience presenting pricing, handling objections, and securing commitments

•       Ability to explain complex processes in simple, empathetic terms

•       Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing high-volume lead flow

•       Self-motivated, competitive, and driven to succeed with a strong desire to win

•       Compassionate and empathetic approach balanced with results-oriented mindset


Technical Requirements:

•       Comfortable with technology and learning new systems

•       Experience with CRM systems (Go High Level experience a plus but not required)

•       Proficiency with Microsoft Office365 and case management platforms (training provided on: RingCentral, Lex Reception, Intaker, MyCase)


Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
