Workers Compensation Claims Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Workers Compensation Claims Specialist to manage and enhance the operational aspects of our Workers’ Compensation Program. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure high-quality claim management by collaborating with internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to provide technical guidance, drive performance improvements, and strengthen relationships with stakeholders. This is a hybrid 3 days in the office 2 days remote position and includes medical, dental, 401k and PTO.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Workers’ Compensation Program, ensuring efficient and quality management of claims.

• Collaborate with external partners, including Third-Party Administrators, to guide claim decisions and resolutions within established authority levels.

• Provide technical expertise on claim matters and act as a subject matter expert to support business objectives.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance program performance.

• Monitor and analyze claim data to identify trends and implement improvements.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies related to compensation and benefits.

• Assist in resolving complex claims and provide recommendations for effective resolutions.

• Facilitate communication between business partners to promote collaboration and alignment.

• Support the Director of Workers’ Compensation in driving operational excellence and achieving program goals.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with some college coursework is preferred.
• Minimum of 2-years workers’ compensation claims experience is required.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills, to deliver more complex information effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills to be able to manage complex tasks and work through to solutions with little guidance and direction.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in claim adjudication, medical management, and litigation management.
• Ability to use skills to overcome conflict and reach beneficial outcomes.
